Tips
Getting the Most Out of Your OSD LINDY CPU Switch

Keep track of multiple computers with the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu...

  • Organise menu names by computer function
  • Name your computers such as David or Mr Mailman instead of SERVER 1 or MAILSERV B
  • If the machines are used by certain individuals, use nicknames or pet names to help you remember whose computer is on which channel

Try and learn a few shortcuts

Do you want to select the computer on channel 3?

  • Rather than pressing CTRL-ALT M and then arrow down to the computer on channel 3, why not just press CTRL-ALT 3 (note: on 16 Port OSD version always remember the leading ´0´ on channels 1-9)

Do you have 2 computers performing a specific task and want to know which finishes first?

  • If the two computers are on channels 3 and 7 - hold down CTRL-ALT and tap 3, then release and press down ALT then tap 7, release and hold down ALT and tap 3 etc.

Do you want to reset the entire OSD menu names quickly?

  • Instead of deleting each menu name individually by pressing DELETE and ENTER every time, simply press and hold the SELECT key on the CPU Switch front panel and when 'c' is displayed press 'F' then '8' and ENTER. This will restore to factory defaults and erase all OSD memory
